The Overexposure Collapse

THE OVEREXPOSURE COLLAPSE

This occurs when the body finally snaps after eating one food:
twice a day for four months.

The food becomes associated with:

  • burnout
  • stress
  • overwork
  • exhaustion
  • survival mode
  • sadness
  • finals week
  • grief

The body eventually says:
“We cannot continue like this.”

This frequently happens to:

  • instant ramen
  • granola bars
  • frozen meals
  • protein shakes
  • buttered noodles
  • cereal
  • rotisserie chicken

Especially during college.

Especially during depressive episodes.

Especially during autistic same-food eras where the nervous system accidentally speedruns sensory fatigue.
