The Reheating Problem
Reheating is one of the greatest betrayals known to mankind.
Because some foods:
- survive reheating beautifully
- become entirely different entities after reheating
- absorb moisture incorrectly
- lose texture integrity
- become rubberized
- become grainy
- become oily
- become soggy
- become dry
- become haunted
Foods with strong reheating integrity:
- soup
- curry
- rice dishes
- pasta with sauce
- stews
- chili
- casseroles
- braised meats
Foods with catastrophic reheating failure:
- fries
- nachos
- crispy chicken
- toast
- fried eggs
- tempura
- delicate pastries
And yet society continues pretending microwaves do not fundamentally alter molecular structure.
Microwaves change:
- moisture distribution
- crispness
- elasticity
- starch behavior
- smell release
- temperature consistency
Which means microwave tolerance varies enormously.
Some people prefer microwave softness.
Others experience microwave texture as deeply unsafe.
AIR FRYER PEOPLE and MICROWAVE PEOPLE often have fundamentally different sensory priorities.
This should probably be studied scientifically.
