Additional Notes
The Ornate Temple of Infinite Menu Suffering
Cheesecake Factory feels less like a restaurant and more like a civilization that collapsed under the weight of its own menu.
Every Cheesecake Factory exists inside an architectural dimension where:
- columns are enormous for no reason
- ceilings disappear upward infinitely
- lighting glows like an expensive casino in Atlantis
- every surface reflects light directly into your frontal lobe
- the menu weighs approximately the same as a medium-sized textbook
The menu itself constitutes a documented neurodivergent hazard.
Nobody should be expected to make decisions while holding eighty-seven pages of:
- pasta
- tacos
- burgers
- Thai noodles somehow
- seafood
- brunch
- experimental eggroll technologies
- seventeen thousand cheesecake variants
Your nervous system begins buffering halfway through page four.
The acoustics are catastrophic during peak hours. Sound ricochets around the giant dining room like silverware trapped inside a cathedral bell. Somebody is always celebrating a birthday. Servers move with the speed and determination of emergency responders navigating a mozzarella-stick crisis.
And yet.
And yet.
There exists something deeply fascinating about Cheesecake Factory excess. The portions arrive with mythological scale. Leftovers become a secondary economic system. The brown bread exerts measurable emotional healing properties. The cheesecakes themselves resemble sacred artifacts recovered from an ancient dairy civilization.
The restaurant succeeds through sheer commitment to maximalism. Every decision was apparently made by somebody saying:
“More. Bigger. Add another menu section.”
It feels overwhelming in the exact way Las Vegas feels overwhelming, terrifying, hypnotic, strangely impressive.
